Magazine advert planning

I made some preliminary sketches for my magazine advert.

I originally designed to have the advert being the album cover I made but when I made it it didn't appear to me like a magazine advert.

So I then made an ad using the sketch i drew on the bottom right of the image shown at the top of the page.

I changed from my original plan slighly by giving the album a future release date and adding the pre order now part.

I then asked a fellow class mate and my course tutor for their opinion and they said that the 'Avalible in all good stores' part was to cliche so I decided to remove it and add some reviews from different newspapers and magazines and it is more effective.

I have filled out an editing booking form so the 2 editors can edit the music video together.

The costume for Kanye will be;

The costume for Lupe will be:

• Sunglasses
• Formal jacket/Blazer
• White shirt
• Bow tie
• Black trousers
• Gold watch
• Black Shoes

The trumpeter and airport scene actors costume will be formal wear.

Equipment booking form

Although our group has already acquired most of the equipment that we need and have it on hand ready to use, we still have to borrow and book out some props and equipment from our school, for example the drama department, to lend costume parts. Full details can be found below.

Risk assessment

When shooting our music video there will be potential risks when it comes to filming. This will be due to the fact of shooting in precarius locations or in slightly risky ways such as filming while moving.

Below is a Table of the potential risks/dangers that could occur when shooting our video:

Final treatment

Chorus 1 : Fade in from black to a shot of the sun and when the score kicks in the camera pans down to a courthouse with the main singer walking down the steps at the front, the court house going with the lyrics "I'm gonna testify". He then walks down the stairs and pulls on his jacket/blazer making himself look cool or "extra fly".

Verse 1: Cut to performance, The main singer and a trumpeter on a hill top, trumpeter will be playing score.

When the lyrics "Me and my momma Hopped in a u-haul van" play a long shot of a woman and a younger man are getting in a van and driving away from a parking lot/house.
When the lyrics "no phone in my apartment" play a shot of the singer walking out of a empty apartment with a box in his/her hands.
When the lyrics "I just wanna shine" are played a mid shot silhouette of the singer is shown in front of the sun.

Chorus :  Cut to performance, The singer and the trumpeter on a hilltop, pans up to sun at top of the screen.
The sun in the top of  the shot and several hands reach up to it from the bottom of the shot. ( Touch the sky)

Hook 1: A mid shot of 2 singers that pans out and down to the shadows of the 2 men on concrete/tarmac

Verse 2: Long shot of singer walking down the street and goes into a shop, when the lyrics "those new loafers hurt my pocket" plays he walks out of the shop with a bag or new shoes on.

When the lyrics "Baby im going on a airplane" play it shows the singer approaching an airplane, it then continues onto the singer sat in a window seat of the plane as it takes off.

Chorus 2: Sun is shown in the plane window and the singer grasps his hand in front of the sun.

Verse 3: Performance, Singer and trumpeter on rooftop,
Long shot/mid shot of Singer walking down middle of the road singing while cars drive either side, When the lyrics "My best foreign car" play the singer drives up and gets out of a car.

Hook 2: Group of people on the hilltop looking up and reaching up, one singer on this shot, centre.
Group on rooftop looking up and reaching up, the other singer in this shot, centre.
Half and half of the above 2 shots and then fade to black, person in the centre made up of the 2 singers.
