Filming diary

I am making a diary of all my filming dates and what i have filmed on these dates.

2/12/13:

Filming a shot of main road for use on green screen.

3/12/13:

Filmed a lip sync video for practice editing and filming.

9/12/13:
Filmed all the shots for verse 3, I was not at the filming because I was in the classroom updating paper work and my blog.

11/12/13:
I filmed a narrative piece for second verse, using my schools common room as a airport waiting room.

12/12/13:
I went to Robin Hood Airport in Doncaster to film an establishing shot for the previous days filming.

13/12/13:
The other students in my group have filmed some shots for the first verse, I could not attend this filming as I was at volunteer work.

Final storyboard

This is the final version of my groups storyboard. There has been some changes from the original to make the video and filming possible to do.

Treatment

Chorus 1 : Fade in from black to a shot of the sun and when the score kicks in the camera pans down to a courthouse with the main actor walking down the steps at the front, the court house going with the lyrics "I'm gonna testify". He then walks down the stairs and pulls on his jacket/blazer making himself look cool or "extra fly".

Verse 1: The main singer and a trumpeter on a hill top, trumpeter will be playing score.
When the lyrics "Me and my momma Hopped in a u-haul van" play a shot of a woman and a younger man are getting in a van.
When the lyrics "no phone in my apartment" play a shot of the singer walking out of a empty apartment with a box in his/her hands.
When the lyrics "I Just wanna shine" are played a mid shot silhouette of the singer is shown in front of the sun.

Chorus : The singer and the trumpeter on a hilltop again.
The sun in the top of  the shot and several hands reach up to it from the bottom of the shot.

Hook 1: A mid shot of 2 singers that pans out and down to the shadows of the 2 men.

Verse 2: Singer walking down the street and goes into a shop, when the lyrics "those new loafers hurt my pocket" plays he walks out of the shop with a bag or new shoes on.

When the lyrics "Baby im going on a air plane" play it shows the singer approaching and getting on-board an air plane, it then continues onto the singer sat in a window seat of the plane as it takes off.

Chorus 2: Sun is shown in the plane window and the singer grasps his hand in front of the sun.

Verse 3: Singer and trumpeter on hilltop, Singer walking down middle of the road singing while cars drive either side, When the lyrics "My best foreign car" the singer drives up and gets out of a car.

Chorus 2: Singer and trumpeter on a rooftop

Hook 2: Group of people on the hilltop looking up and reaching up
Group on rooftop looking up and reaching up
Half and half of the above 2 shots and then fade to black

in preparation for this me and my group have done some research into the song, Kanye West and music videos made for the song, professional and fan made.
